Just My Thoughts: Picasso and Politics Are Everywhere
November 16th, 2010 § Leave a Comment

“I guess politics are everywhere, even in art.”
I recently stumbled upon this Piccaso which a large part of the art community does not recognize as being authentic.
As a creative person, people ask me about art, comics, film and creative endeavorers in general. As we talk I’m eventually asked a very specific question. “Do you like what you do?”
I do. I love it. That’s not to say it’s without its challenges. It’s like anything, it has its ups and down. Somethings turn out great, some clients are wonderful to collaborate with.
On the flip, you have clients that make you question why you answered their call. You have to be nicer at times than you would preffer. You also question your work and why others can’t see what you’re talking about, “when’s it’s so damn clear.”
Point of this rambling entry, politics are everywhere, even in art… the place everyone assumes it wouldn’t be, even in works of art that politically shouldn’t exist.
Yes. Politics are everywhere, especially in art.
Just My Thoughts.
Is MySpace Coming Back?

I really have to ask myself this question, and I sign up for a Pimp-My-Profile account at 2:30 AM on a Friday night. I know people don’t use it anymore and I hardly check into it. But lately I’m kind of over Facebook.

FB is cool for old friends and people you don’t know… but… if you want to hear some new music, connect with some interesting creators,or just have a place where people can interact with the stuff you are making, well, MySpace kind of rocks.
It’s tools have gotten a lot better, ala wanting to compete with FB, even if a little late. That being said, I am having a lot of fun making a profile, linking with interesting musicians and connecting with other creators.
Who’d a thunk it!?
